Adam Lambert Mad World

Seems like a lot of people are looking for the Adam Lambert Mad World video. Maybe more than usual as those that might have tried to record it may have missed his performance since the show ran over.

Prison Brews

There is a new micro-brewery in town. It opened Monday morning at 11am. They claim to be the first brewery in Jefferson City since prohibition. It is also a restaurant. I would recommend trying the wood-fired pizza. Although I have heard some of the other items are good as well.

I don't recall the exact names, but they have 6 different beers with Prison related names, something like CellMate Pale, etc. It starts with their lightest colored beer, followed by a honey wheat, a pale ale, a honey brown, an IPA, and then their darkest beer. I like dark beers, but was not a big fan of theirs. There are probably a lot of people that will like it, but to me they taste a bit like New Belgium Brewings 1554 black ale, which in my opinion tastes like someone took a charred piece of wood and dunked it down into a glass of dark beer.

You can order the sampler which has all six beers and there is actually enough in each glass to give you a good taste, not little shot glasses like a lot of places.

The front of the employees t-shirts has the Prison Brews logo and the back has a quote attributed to Ben Franklin:

Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Album Art

I recieved an e-mail from the lead singer of Seven Years Tragedy asking about using some artwork for their album cover. It turns out that it is not my art, just art I have blogged about, so I told them I would get in touch with the artist (Dan Marks) and get back or have Dan get with them directly. The artwork really is cool (prior posts 1, 2). It basically looks to be a local level kid band that would fall into the screamo category. Screamo is not my thing, but to each their own. Dan's artwork would make a great album cover and if you are into screamo you can check out Seven Years Tragedy.

It seems like more and more video sites are showing rankings on videos along with ratings, comments, etc..

Dave has several on You Tube. I noticed that some have a "More Stats" link. I am surprised that some popular ones show few or no links to them.

Of course, one of the things about the Internet is that a reasonably unknown kid can now get as much exposure as an individual that is well known.

Of course, the demographics of those looking for Bryan Adams "Heaven" video and those watching Mia Rose sing "Heaven" are probably different, it is still interesting to see that the Bryan Adams video posted by Ivan back on May 21st, 2006, has so many fewer hits than the version added by Mia Rose on January 7th, 2007. It would not surprise me if her video has actually helped his.

I would say that the demographics of those seeing Mia Rose's video is probably much different than those that would be looking for the Bryan Adams video. It would not surprise me at this point if her video has helped the popularity of the Bryan Adams video.

On January 6, 2000 a group of musicians and music-loving technologists came together with the idea of creating the most comprehensive analysis of music ever.
