If you have something that people want, then charge for it. That appears to be the way that many Internet companies/sites with free offerings turn when they think they have something people want or need. It looks like myRSS is the latest to follow this route. It will be interesting to see if their commercial offering, Market Sentinel, will have what it takes to stay afloat. A lot of people used the BETA, but there can definitely be a difference once you start to charge for something that was free. I wonder if Google will turn Gmail into a commerical service at some point.
