Management is touching the issue of software metrics a bit. I found a couple of articles by Karl E. Wiegers that I thought were good. The first is "A Software Metrics Primer". The second article, "Software Metrics: Ten Traps to Avoid", was of more interest to me as it expresses some of the concerns that I have mentioned if they move forward.
