Picking Up the Pieces

I am a sucker for animals and we are quickly trying to heal the wounds and move on to making new memories. We put in an application to adopt a much smaller dog today. The shelter said that there has not been a single person look at adopting the little dog in the 4 months that he has been there. In looking, the whole family was somehow drawn to him. He may be just what the family needs. He has a lot more character than his pint size frame should be able to hold. They say it can take up to a week before they get back with individuals after checking references, etc.. Hopefully all will work out.
