At the end of the Fox online story, Dr. Chapman says:
"There is absolutely nothing wrong with the guillotine," he said impatiently. "It can be operated by an idiot and it is a very effective instrument."
You often hear talk of death penalty executions being painless. A curiosity question. How does one actually go about determining that it is painless? You can't ask those that were executed.
