Always interesting - IT Consolidation

Like many things I can see issues and arguments for both sides of IT Consolidation, so I cannot say that one way is the correct way. I really think it depends on all those involved and the execution, as well as knowing what it is that one is trying to accomplish.

As we hear plans within our state it is always interesting to see what other states are doing. Our Governor-elect has stated that the direction of his administration is IT Consolidation. I just read the article, "Connecticut Gov. Announces Permanent Halt to IT Centralization". Connecticut had started moving towards centralization and now has stopped the efforts and is actually taking steps to return employees that had already been centralized back to the agencies from where they came.
