I like the online version, except that I find it to be a bit slow. The desktop version is speedier.

Moblog

I decided not to push my Mobile Blog (moblog) here afterall. I will incorporate any moblog picture posts to my photoblog (avisuallife).

As you might have noticed, I have a camera phone again. It is a Samsung SPH-a640 that takes VGA pics, so not that great of quality, but good enough to make things out.



I didn't want to go back to a separate Moblog as I had before, so I followed the instructions to setup a moblog via Blogger, claimed it, and then set it up to post to my main blog.

Now add 5.

 

Multiply this number by 50. (You need to do the math correctly, so if you need a calculator find one.)

 

If you have already had a birthday this year add 1,755 to the number, if you haven't add 1,754.

 

Now subtract the four digit year that you were born from the number you have.

 

Now add one to the number for each year that it is past 2005.

 

You should have a three digit number.

 

The first digit is the number of times that you answered that you would like to have chocolate a week (If you are 100 or over, you'll need to subtract 1).

  The next two digits are YOUR AGE (If you are 100 or over you'll need to add 100).

New Tripod

My old tripod broke several months back. Today I took care of that problem. Nothing fancy, but I got a new SunPack 5800D to replace it. A tripod can come in handy sometimes.

Deleware Interactive Maps via Google Maps

Deleware is using Google Maps to display interactive traffic maps. Kind of interesting. You can even check out traffic via webcam feeds in little video popups.

We found her walking in front of our house shivering in the 0 degree weather Sunday. We brought her in and warmed her up, gave her a bath, and called the animal shelter. They were closed, so we called the police station and they said animal control would not be open until Monday and that they couldn't do anything except take our name and number and if anyone called in and reported her missing that they would pass on our contact info. No calls.

We also went door to door through the neighborhood. No luck. We recalled a house that's a neighborhood over that had a sign in their yard about a missing Chihuahua a few weeks ago. We drove her over and it was not theirs. Their Chihuahua turned up and was one of the miniature Chihuahuas.

My wife called the animal shelter on Monday and they had not received any calls. They said they would take her, but if they did not have the owner come in within three days that they would euthanize her. The big reason is because she has a big tumor and they would not deal with diagnosing and getting her healthy. The tumor is as big as a golf ball, which is pretty big on a 5lb dog. The nearby no-kill shelter is full.

My wife took her to the vet yesterday and found out that she did have a chip. After following the trail through three to four owners they tracked her down to someone here in Jefferson City. It appears that the owner, which lives across town from us is playing stupid as if they know nothing about the dog. Sounds like a sick dog that was dumped.

Anyway, it looks like it will be a happy ending for the dog. My wife contacted a Chihuahua rescue a hundred miles away. They said they would take her, get her healthy and find her a good home. They have a volunteer that lives near Jefferson City and they are getting with them to find a time that we can get the dog to them. Until then we have a little 5lb house guest. She doesn't care to much for the cat, but does okay with our two dogs.

I am totally clueless on the subject, so I don't know if this is any good or not, but if you are looking for a XML Schema Validator here is one.

Dolphin Stadium - Super Bowl Sunday

A lot of eyes will be on Dolphin Stadium in Miami tomorrow for the Super Bowl.



What would really be cool is if you could look at the game with Microsoft Virtual Earth or Google Earth in Real Time and zoom in and out on the game from any angle from any distance at anytime. Of course, having DVR like capabilities would have to be built in. Another cool scenario might be having the SuperBowl live via Second Life. There would be a lot of issues of how you would have the live action and keep those in the virtual world from interfering with the real action as there would be way to many people to fit in the stadium and way to many people trying to run out on the field. A lot of people would also be disappointed in the Virtual Beer. It would be safer if a Virtual Riot were to break out afterwards though.
