I have a beef with the St. Louis Cardinals or Tickets.com

So, not a big deal, but it would have been kind of nice beforehand to have stated that it would hold one's spot in line for tickets ealier than the 4pm time they stated for getting the tickets. Thus when I whent to try to get some after getting home, which was actually still a bit before 4pm, it stated that I was in the waiting queue, but after about 1 hour and 15 minutes it popped up this message stating that it was full. That was not portrayed correctly at the beginning.

It does not appear to be raining at the Capitol.

Good Luck

Good Luck getting complimentary tickets. Cycling through 30 seconds retries for 45 minutes and still waiting.

Didn't expect to get any, but didn't think it would continue on this long before getting a message that they are all gone.

Time Change

Don't forget to set your circadian clocks back.

Harder said than done.

I don't like the shorter hours of daylight. It usually means I go to work when it is dark and leave when it is dark. I like the longer days of sunlight. I guess the shorter days make me SAD, so maybe I should take the advice of this article and plan winter vacations to sunny climates. :-)

Luckily I don't have problems to a clinical level as some appear to, but I do like my sunlight.

Congratulations Cardinals

Congratulations St. Louis Cardinals. Way to go!

A nice way to break in the new stadium.

Those wanting to get complimentary tickets to the rally and program inside Busch Stadium after the parade on Sunday can get them online after 4pm today.

PDF Slideshow

Did you know that you can create your own PDF slideshow with a free download?

If you also download the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition as you are getting Adobe Reader, then you will have the tool you need.

You can see an example here.

Corel Photo Album 6

Corel Photo Album 6 has a panorama feature, a bit like Autostitch, although much slower and it automatically crops. It uses Enroute's Image Synthesis technology.

You can download a time limited (60 day) full featured version from Imagestation here.

You Tube

I figured okay, I'll check out the hype and upload the latest Jays football video to You Tube instead of Google Video.  As I get signed up and go to the upload screen the first thing I am met with is a popup that says there is a 100mb limit.  Okay, one more reason I don't fully understand the hype it gets over Google Video, and why Google of all companies would then purchase it.  I guess the same can be said for MySpace over Windows Live Spaces, Orkut, Blogger, etc.  What is it about similar things that might draw such a crowd to one versus another?  Oh well.  Video has been posted to Google until I have one under a 100mb, at which time I might try out the You Tube account that I signed up for.

I would say that word of mouth by kids does play into the market more than it use to as the Internet allows kids a much bigger audience than they once had.

Nascar Fan

Anyone can be a Nascar fan.  I was reminded of this as I drove to work yesterday.  A big old #99 Nascar sticker plastered on the trunk of a new Infiniti.

Jeep may need a compass, but not this one.

Pontiac Aztek

If it weren't for the Pontiac Aztek having made it to market and lasting a few years I don't think the Jeep Compass would have made it to market at all, as it isn't much to look at. I could be wrong, but I predict it will meet the same fate as the Aztek, just in a shorter period of time.

Lotus Notes on USB

Looking at version 7.0.2, I would have to say the three features that Lotus points out on their website are the most interesting to me.

The first one to catch my eye was the one about running Notes on a USB device. I tried it and thought that it was pretty cool. I mentioned it to a couple of other people at work and mentioned that it stated that this was only for the Notes Client only, not for Admin and Designer.

Well I got a note back from one of them that Declan had posted a way to add both Administrator and Designer to the USB device. As I do have the full Notes-Designer-Admin client loaded on a machine I jumped over and grabbed the four files Dec mentions to copy for this to work and presto, worked like a charm. Makes the whole thing that much better. If you have different ids depending on what you are doing, possibly one for regular use and a separate one for doing administration tasks, simply make sure that you copy all the ids that you might need over to the USB device as well.

Of course, depending on the capacity of your device there are numerous possibilities of having your data with you to work on it as well. Of course, if doing so these days you may want to think about the security of such data.

No more audioblogger

I didn't use it much, but I guess it is time to say good-bye to audioblogger.

Hello,

As of November 1, 2006, Audioblogger will no longer accept phone
calls. MP3s made with the service will continue to be hosted and
served but you will no longer be able to use Audioblogger to post
new audio.

Audioblogger is an independent product, run by Odeo, Inc., a small
startup company in San Francisco, CA. We are not affiliated with
Google or Blogger except that we operate and provide the
Audioblogger service.

Given our limited resources, we have to make tough decisions
about what projects to focus on. And we've come to the difficult
decision that Audioblogger demands too many resources, time, and
money for us to continue its operation.

However, there are several other services that offer similar
functionality. Odeo is not affiliated with any of these services,
we only suggest them only in hopes that one or the other will be
a good alternative for you.

Gabcast.com is a free service for recording by phone
Hipcast.com has a seven day free trial and lots of features
Gcast.com is another free service for phone recording

All of the phone posting services listed above are compatible
with Odeo in that they produce podcast feeds, which can be
imported to Odeo. Any audio file at Odeo can be posted on a blog
by copying and pasting some embed code.

Odeo would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has
tried Audioblogger. If you are interested in keeping up with our
other blog-friendly projects, please have a look at Twitter.com
and our customizable audio players.

Thanks,
The Odeo Team

Google Base

Have you checked out Google Base? I will probably give it a try.

Civic Si Sedan

The new Civic Si has kind of a funky dash.

I think it looks good, but I think they can do without the old VTEC DOHC decal.
